            A new, half-hour documentary airing this month on HBO gives the kids a chance to provide their parents with Dos and Don’ts for divorce.  Don’t Divorce Me! Kids’ Rules for Parents on Divorce focuses on advice from kids to their parents to make divorce a little easier on the kids.  The kids range in age from five to ten and share their innermost feelings about their parents’ divorces.

Information about Don’t Divorce Me! can be found on the HBO website along with a resource page listing groups throughout the country that help kids and families cope with divorce.  The Las Vegas family court has several resources for families going through divorce. Divorcing parents in Las Vegas and Clark County must complete the “COPE class,” as seminar designed to teach parents how to help their children handle their divorce.  Family court judges in Las Vegas take co-parenting seriously and if a judge finds that a parent is not co-parenting and not fostering the other parent’s relationship with the children, the judge can make rulings effecting custody.
